Five Shifts Within Stagnant Rooms

Windows become exploited as cinematic lenses. Issues of memory, time, and the displacement of the human psyche interweave into an equivocal narrative. Five Shifts Within Stagnant Rooms exploits our voyeuristic tendencies as we peer through time and witness its residual effects as a home is transformed into a psychological prison.

Running on a 2:30 loop, LEDs transition and fade between colors, phasing in and out of rooms, every 30 seconds.  These LEDs compress and expand time, providing an artificial sense of movement through sequential imagery while distinguishing the “past” and “present”.
